We collect the following types of information:
Contact Form Submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and message content.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To respond to your inquiries, prayer requests, and messages
To process and acknowledge charitable donations and provide tax receipts
To communicate church announcements, events, and updates (only with your consent)
To connect you with ministries, programs, or pastoral care you have requested
To improve our website and online services
To fulfill our ministry mission of serving the community
4. How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which provides industry-standard SSL encryption (HTTPS). All data transmitted to and from our website is encrypted.
We do not store payment or financial information on our own servers — all donations are processed securely by Givelify, which uses bank-level security and encryption. We limit access to your personal information to authorized church staff and volunteers who need it to carry out their ministry responsibilities.

PEO Church NYC sends one-way SMS/text messages from a dedicated toll-free number for three purposes: (a) internal alerts to church staff when a new prayer request or inquiry is submitted on this website (not sent to the public), (b) a single confirmation text to a website visitor or prayer request submitter who checks the "one-time confirmation" opt-in box and provides a phone number on our Plan Your Visit, Prayer Wall, or Contact form, confirming we received their submission, and (c) recurring updates about upcoming events and services to a visitor who separately checks the "event & service updates" opt-in box on those same forms. Each opt-in box is independent — checking one does not enroll you in the other.
One-time confirmation texts
Consent: By checking the "one-time confirmation" box and submitting your phone number, you consent to receive a single confirmation text from PEO Church NYC. Consent is never a condition of using our forms or services, and you may still submit a form without checking the box.
Message frequency: One-time message per form submission. Message and data rates may apply.
Event & service update texts
Consent: By checking the "event & service updates" box and submitting your phone number, you consent to receive recurring text messages from PEO Church NYC about upcoming events, services, and reminders. Consent is never a condition of using our forms or services, and you may still submit a form without checking the box.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on our event and service calendar. Message and data rates may apply.
All SMS programs
Opt-Out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from us.
Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us using the information in Section 13 below.
Carrier liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sharing for marketing: Your mobile phone number and consent will never be shared or sold to third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Phone Calls
If you provide your phone number on this or any form on our website, now or in the future, PEO Church NYC or its staff may call you to follow up on your specific request — for example, to confirm a visit, respond to a prayer request, or answer a question you submitted. These calls may be placed by a staff member or, if we adopt automated calling technology in the future, by an automatic telephone dialing system or using an artificial or prerecorded voice.
Consent to receive a call is never a condition of using our forms or services. You may ask us to stop calling you at any time by informing our staff.
Future Communication Methods
As new ways to communicate become available, we may use them to reach you consistent with the consent you've provided and applicable law. We'll update this policy to reflect any material change in how we contact you.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
